Katy currently serves as the Director of Classroom Learning. In this role, she works closely with school partners to tailor classroom programs to student needs and to deliver professional development for educators. Katy joined Academic Approach in 2016. Prior to Academic Approach, she was a special education teacher for seven years, working at a public high school and a high-performing charter high school. Katy earned a BA from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a M.Ed. from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia. Outside of work, Katy enjoys group fitness classes, spending time with her husband, and chasing after her two young daughters.
