The Chicago Public Schools Selective Enrollment Exam is changing this year. The new CPS HS Admissions Test will be given on October 11^th for CPS eighth graders this year. Non-CPS students can test on October 14, 15, or 21. While we are waiting more news about specific changes to the test, as well as scoring information, we do know that the 2023 test will now be an hour long and will ONLY test reading and math skills, no longer testing vocabulary or grammar skills. The test will continue to be administered on a computer.
